We are super excited to share with you Dole Manchild’s debut album, “WAR ON DOLE!” a collection of tunes that will get stuck in your head for a long time. This album is one of the more promising projects we’ve heard in a while and provides the listener with a proper introduction to the sound and style of the band Dole Manchild.
The album features eight tracks that highlight the genuine and smart musical style of the band. Upon hearing this project for the first time, we knew it was something special and couldn’t get it out of our heads. No matter what you are a fan of, the band brings a beautiful variety of tastes and styles to their music that not only demands your attention but keeps you coming back for more. Mixed and mastered to perfection by Calum Newton (Candy), WAR ON DOLE! echoes with ever-determined Dole Manchild’s playful pursuit to make their best punk possible and play it to as many people as possible, ever-evolving their characteristically catchy, punchy and poignant, frenzied and fried garage stylings.
The instrumentals are outstanding, and the melodies are incredibly catchy. The vocals are powerful and the lyrics are original and well-written. The energy of these tracks is incredible and the production skills are impressive. From the lyrics to the melodies, you can tell that this band’s musical style comes from a genuine place. Something we always look for when discovering new brands. It’s difficult to imagine that only eight tracks could do the trick, but indeed they have. This album “WAR ON DOLE!” is a phenomenal introduction to Dole Manchild. Dole Manchild is the vision of Argentinian-Australian frontman and synthlord Dan Blitzman of Tall Relatives, flanked by friends and members of the local music community Van Willis (drums), Salvador Peralta (guitar), Michael Cummaudo (lead guitar), Carmen Hauptmann (synth) and Anthony Jenkins (bass) . They’ve been playing stages for Yours & Owls, Cherry Rock, Young Henry’s, Brunswick Street Music Festival and more, constantly collaborating with the local creative community with multiple DIY music videos featured on ABC’s rage, plus regular features on Spotify Official playlists, Triple J, PBS, RRR, and radio stations across Australia and the world.
