ABOUT THE DUO:
Malibu Hot Flush is a serendipitous collaboration between singer and guitarist Luigi Tiberio and modular artist Tim Bleasdale. It developed from raw jam sessions where high-octane avenues were explored, and the pair converged their different energies in disjointed yet totally natural fashions. Despite having both been part of different previous projects, here they are now with their first foray into the commercial music scene together, with the huge new single, ‘Make It Matter’. At the crux of it, Malibu Hot Flush’s sound haphazardly fuses elements of electronic post-punk, new wave, Euro disco, indie, techno and industrial genres. All of which you’ll detect on this track. Epic duo? Absolutely. They’re a well-connected pair, too, having spent time recording this and more of their material with Mogwai’s producer, Tony Doogan, at Glasgow’s Castle of Doom Studios. It’s also had some solid involvement from Chris Geddes of Belle and Sebastian. On top of ‘Make It Matter’, you’ll see…
