Joel Moncherry is an aspiring pop artist, whose style is a combination of various style from Pop, Afrobeat, & R&B. A positive songwriter who writes meaningful songs to encourage and stimulate.
Born in the Seychelles, he has lived in Brunei for over twenty years. His musical journey began as a teenager, when he learnt to play the violin at music school. Writing songs became Joel’s tool of expression, and a way of displaying his emotions through words. Joining a band, developed his confidence, and helped him gain experience of working musically with others.
Drawing his inspirations from artists such as Michael Jackson, The Bee Gees, Pitbull & Jay z. He gained a strong motivation from artists who are true to themselves.
Keen to follow his dream, in March 2022, Joel released his debut single “I am a Dragon,” an exuberant song with an inspirational message, the artist has been working on his compositions, and is set to release the tracks in September. As an artist, Joel Moncherry, aims to uplift with his music.
