ABOUT THE BAND:
Modern Folklore are a 5-piece American Heartland Indie Rock band from Rapid City, South Dakota. The band formed in 2020 when Josh Shepperd and Dexter Carman met at a local music venue and realized their shared love of archetypical imagery and early indie rock influences. Soon after drummer Ed Flammond joined the band, followed by multi-instrumentalist Kyle Blessing, and finally bassist Patrick Fahey. Since then, Modern Folklore have performed dozens of shows across the upper Midwest and have had the pleasure of opening for such bands as Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Modern Folklore released their debut EP “Vol. 1” in September 2022 and are currently working on a new single called “City Lights” that they plan to release in November 2022.
