Talented young artist Lucid Kidd left us stuck on constant repeat with his latest release, “Smooth Sailing,” the final single off of his debut EP, out October 16th. He grabbed all of our attention with this release, and we are super excited to share it with you.

Lucid Kidd is a talented artist and his music is different and sets him apart from the crowd. He gives us something really special with this new song and it seems we can’t get enough of it. . The song from start to finish is packed with energy and really some good stuff to vibe to all day long. The lyrics are honest, emotional and mesh perfectly with the vocal melodies. The vocals are incredible and the chorus is catchy and will get stuck in your head for days. You may find yourself singing it out loud by the next morning. ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Based in Vilnius, Lithuania – a part of the world that isn’t typically thought of as a hotbed for young artists – Lucid discovered his love for music at the age of 13, attracted to “the freedom and limitlessness of music” while tinkering around on his grandmother’s piano. “Even though I didn’t really know how to play, music gave me this feeling of freedom – like there were no boundaries,” he shares. “The sound became pure emotion.”
As Lucid continued to hone his sound, the young artist slowly gained attention, and began collaborating with his friend Lil Skar. The two crafted an entire catalog of music, including the buzzworthy single “Baby,” and were soon called on to perform at local bars. Creating buzz in the local music scene, Lucid and Lil Skar eventually gained support from the most popular rap in Lithuania, Flying Saucer Gang.
Inspired by artists like XXXTENTACION, Juice WRLD, The Kid LAROI, Lucid then dove into music production, pulling beats from YouTube and creating three songs every day. Developing an edgy, melodic, urban pop sound, informed by what he described as “the cold, dark, and depressing energy of Eastern Europe,” his recent single “Nothing Back” topped Billboard’s Top Triller Global Chart, leading to festival appearances and collaborations with top producers and songwriters.
Now, Lucid is primed to introduce his music to the world with his debut EP. Featuring his recent buzzworthy singles “G n T” and “Today and Tomorrow,” and collaborations with producers FastLife Beats (LouGotCash, Coi Leray) and iKennaFunken (Kevin Gates) and songwriter Corey Chorus (Rihanna, Keke Palmer), Lucid is confident in taking the step in his career. “Corey helped me learn how to express myself better through music,” he shares. “The EP includes a mix of both real-world and fictional scenarios. But the overall theme is about discovering yourself.”
While Lucid has fully developed his unique brand of edgy, melodic, urban pop, he still draws plenty of inspiration from the world around him. “Even though I’m young, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to see the world, see different cultures,” he adds. “I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Africa, Asia, America, and lots of other places. It’s been incredible, and it has opened my eyes to how big, mysterious, and exciting the world is.”
