Titled “LOW WAVE”, the new album from Julian Wa features a total of 10 soundtracks. “LOW WAVE” is a collection of Julian Wa’s psychedelic folk meditations.
This album is different and deserves more attention. Each track has its own distinctively hazy, other worldly soundscape – perfect for a good set of headphones. We listened to this album several times, and we still can’t find the right words to describe it. From the soundscapes to the melodies, you can tell that Julian’s musical style comes from a genuine place. Something we always look for when discovering a new artist. Julian Wa’s skills are impressive and his music is creative and deserves to be heard by all people around the world. The album is a great experience from start to finish and one of the best projects we’ve heard in months. This artist has a distinctive sound and it stands out. You can’t get enough of it honestly.
“LOW WAVE” was recorded in a secluded beachside town over the course of about 4 years, with trademark lo-fi DIY recording setup the key to Julian Wa’s off-kilter, serene sound.
We love what Julian Wa brought to the table today and we’re super excited to hear what other tracks have up his sleeve. But until that happens, we’ll just have to keep this album on repeat.
