Duane Hoover is back with a new album, “Sharade Parade”, and while there are so many songs worth picking out. “Everytime I Think About You” is the one that stayed with us. It has a warm and romantic side without trying too hard to make a big show of it.
The song is built around smooth vocals and a melody that is easy to connect with. Hoover keeps the rhythm moving with a nice pace and the instrumentation gives the track enough colour without getting in the way. There is a lot going on in the mix, but it never sounds crowded. The production is one of the things that really works here.
The lyrics are the main reason this track works so well. Hoover writes about love in a direct way, looking at the simple thought of someone staying in your mind even when they are not there.
