Matt DeAngelis – Helpless To The Fire

Matt DeAngelis is back with a new single called “Helpless To The Fire“, a great reflective rock song and if you remember his last track “In This World” that a lot of you enjoyed, this one is like a soft step forward in the same direction. It’s a gentle listen, nothing too loud or rushed. It’s just something you can sit with and let play.

This artist has one of the best voices we’ve ever heard. It’s calm, emotional, and very easy to connect with. He doesn’t try to do too much, and that actually works in his favour. The way he delivers the lyrics is honest, like he really means every word. The melodies are smooth and mesh with the lyrics in a nice way.

The production is clean and well put together. The instruments sit nicely behind his vocals, not fighting for attention, just supporting the mood of the song. There’s a warm atmosphere all the way through, and it gives the track a peaceful feeling. It’s the kind of song you play when you want to slow things down a bit.

There’s also a deeper side to the song when you think about his background. He writes from personal struggles and anxiety and tries to turn negative feelings into something positive, you can feel that quiet strength in the music. It doesn’t hit you hard, but it stays with you.

The music video adds another layer to the experience, so it’s not just about the audio here. This is just a really nice song. Simple, emotional, and well made. Not trying to be something it’s not, and that’s probably why it works so well. We honestly think Matt has one of the greatest voices out there right now, and this track just proves it again.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

I’m Matt DeAngelis, a singer/songwriter from Southern New Jersey, USA. I have been honing my craft as a songwriter since age 8 with the ultimate goal of spreading a positive outlook in a world that can be riddled with strife and negativity. Having been diagnosed with an OCD/anxiety disorder from my youth, I have internalized the time sensitive world around me and have learned through my strong faith to take a negative and turn it into a positive, which has been a guiding force in my development as a songwriter. My advocacy for climate change and mental health have been a passion since my youth and I have loved weather for as long as I can remember. Over recent years, I have also become a storm chaser to spread awareness of the changing climate that has become a serious issue in the preservation of our planet.
