Do you remember this artist? Last year, we all fell in love with his track “This is Not a Tango” it was such a playful and catchy listen that stayed with us for a long time. Well, things feel a bit different this time around with the new single “Bittersweet” by 12 O’Clock Club, but trust us, it’s still a really good listen, just in a more calm and thoughtful way.
The track leans into a soft jazz mood that is gentle and easy. It’s one of those instrumentals that doesn’t try too hard, and that’s exactly why it works. The Rhodes keys lead the way, giving the whole piece a warm and slightly nostalgic feel, while the flugelhorn adds this smooth layer that kind of floats over everything. It’s simple but not boring at all.
What we liked most here is how clean everything sounds. Each instrument has its own space and you can really hear the care behind the arrangement. The bass lines sit nicely in the background, the percussion is subtle but still keeps things moving, and the overall groove just flows without forcing anything. It’s a quiet kind of confidence.
There’s also something about the atmosphere of this track that pulls you in without you even noticing. It’s not loud or dramatic, it just slowly builds a vibe around you. Perfect for chilling at home, or even just having on in the background while doing something else. But at the same time, if you stop and really listen, there’s a lot of detail to enjoy.
You can tell this artist really cares about the small things. The sound design, the choice of instruments, even the way the track breathes, it all feels very intentional. That kind of passion doesn’t always show up in music like this, but here it really does. It’s simple music, but done with real care.
Sometimes that’s exactly what you want, something easy, something warm, something that just sounds right. This is one of those tracks that grows on you. We’re definitely into this gentle side of the artist.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:

12 O’Clock Club is the contemporary jazz fusion project of London bassist and composer Antonio Val. Built around groove, improvisation and strong melodic identity, the music draws from jazz, funk, soul, fusion and cinematic soundworlds without settling into a single genre. Bass-led writing sits at the centre, giving the pieces their pulse and direction, while the arrangements leave space for colour, atmosphere and the spontaneity of the musicians involved.
Antonio’s background as a session musician — including performances with artists such as The Streets and Lily Allen — feeds into a project that feels both crafted and instinctive. 12 O’Clock Club brings together expressive playing, detailed composition and a restless sense of curiosity, creating instrumental music that feels immediate, human and emotionally direct. The result is music that moves between precision and freedom, atmosphere and intensity — searching for the place where composition, performance and feeling become inseparable.
