Writing poetry and songs opened up the corners of myself I was afraid of , allowing me to voice things in a way that felt safe powerful & protected creating eternal conduits for these certain energy’s that were heavily influencing my life.
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “Angel of the Evening”?
A: For the most part I am doing all I can as useless that I am with social media I more prefer getting up to share my art wherever & whenever I am lucky enough at open mic nights or the local markets. I have just recently met up with an another musician who I may be teaming up with and we’ve decided we may start busking at the lake front of our home town Wanaka to truly connect & gain some exposure.
-My message –

A: Nina Simone , I admire her as not only an artist but a truly exceptional woman that she was and in my opinion still very much is.
My inspiration for my songs are heavily fulled by my writing as I have a very over active mind my songs are playing in my head all through the night into my dreams until I awaken . Usually starting off as one sentence leading into paragraphs & after hours of arrangement pieces together into hopefully a song.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Heroin Blue Light.”?
A: ‘Heroin Blue Light ‘ is an expression of deep pain but proof of the untamed beauty lying within that . It’s a song I threw together quite quickly to enter into a song writing competition, I was lucky enough to be a finalist with the prize taking me to ‘ Round Head Studios ‘ Auckland where I recorded ‘Heroin Blue Light ‘ LIVE in studio . ‘Heroin Blue Light ‘ was the end to a dark era . I wanted to give myself to everyone as I was in one of my most vulnerable states Raw , Real and as someone who for a long time was silenced into shadow ‘Heroin Blue Light ‘ is simply the discovery of my voice & the journey into my own light.
