Adam Warren just dropped a new album called “Red Eyes & Blue Hearts”, and it’s one of those records that slowly pulls you in the more you sit with it. It’s 10 tracks, mostly built around acoustic guitar, but it never sounds plain or repetitive. There’s always something going on underneath, small details, little shifts in mood.
The sound leans into folk rock, but it doesn’t get stuck in one lane. Some songs feel soft and almost fragile, while others hit a bit harder emotionally. The melodies can be really haunting at times, then suddenly warm and comforting the next. It keeps things interesting.
You can tell a lot of care went into this. The production is professional but not overly shiny. It’s a personal record. There’s also something about the way everything is arranged that makes the album like a full journey rather than just a bunch of songs thrown together.
The opening track, “Ghosts of Yesterday” is our favorite one. Tracks like “Passionate Red” and “Tallinn” stand out pretty quickly with how they build emotion without getting too dramatic. Even knowing parts of the album had to be re-recorded, it doesn’t come across as stressful or rushed. If anything, it feels more focused.
We’ll probably keep this one in rotation for a bit. It’s the kind of album that grows on you without making a big deal about it, and honestly, that’s what makes it work.
