Nova Noir might be new to us, but “High For This” made it really easy to understand what his world sounds like. The track sits in this dark and slow-burning R&B space where everything feels calm on the surface but heavy underneath. The production doesn’t try to be flashy at all, it stays minimal in the best way and gives his voice all the room it needs. And honestly, that voice carries the whole mood. It has this smooth but slightly haunted tone that fits the song’s emotional weight perfectly.
The lyrics feel personal, like he’s letting us read a page he probably didn’t plan on showing anyone. There’s a quiet intensity in the way he delivers every line and it pulls you in without even trying. The melodies are haunting and the atmosphere is unique.
Listening to him, we noticed how naturally he turns darkness into something special and addictive. Nova Noir really knows how to pour emotion into the smallest details, and it shows. This new title is a song you play when you need something that hits deeper than usual.
We enjoyed this one a lot and we’re definitely keeping an eye on him from now on. Also, if you haven’t listened yet to his previous album “Hollywood”, trust us, give it a spin. You’ll be glad you did.
