The New Weavers – Live at Black Tornado

The New Weavers are back with a burst of pure rock energy on their new mini-album, “Live at Black Tornado”. Recorded live in Copenhagen with nine musicians all playing together in one room, this project captures something rare these days, a raw and unfiltered energy that feels alive and real. You can almost imagine the sweat, laughter, and chemistry bouncing around the studio walls.

The album opens with “Danny G”, a track that instantly grabs your attention with its rhythm and great lyrics. It’s got that kind of groove that makes you nod along without even realizing it. Then comes “Wait up, Sir”, a fun and upbeat tune that shows off the band’s tight chemistry and knack for catchy melodies. Everything feels sharp but still loose in that effortless live-band way.

“Main Music Movers” stands out with its creative production and varied instrumentation and there’s a richness here that keeps things interesting from start to finish. “Mexico” keeps the energy flowing with smooth songwriting and a strong vocal performance that really shines. “POP” follows with distinctive melodies and bright vocals that sit perfectly on top of the full, layered sound. Finally, “Suzie” wraps things up beautifully, closing the record with warm instrumentation and a memorable groove that lingers after the last note fades.

We really love how this band mixes classic rock spirit with modern energy. Each track feels alive and the band’s musicianship is top-tier. The melodies are strong, the rhythms are addictive, and the whole thing just feels honest and passionate. We had a great time listening, this is one of those records that reminds us why live music still matters.
