New Interview With M.Nox

Q: Welcome back, M.Nox! It’s fantastic to have you with us again. To kick things off, could you share some highlights or pivotal moments that have shaped your artistic path this year?

A: Hi, thanks for having me. I’m really happy to be here again — thank you for the invite! This year has been 99.9% about releasing new music. Last year, I was focused on the TV project The Voice, which opened a lot of doors for me personally and for us collectively as a band.

Q: Can you describe the musical style of M.Nox in three words?

A: I wanna say powerful melodic and cinematographic

Q: How do you stay connected with your fans, and what role do they play in shaping your musical journey?

A: I think, just like any musician these days, besides being a musician, songwriter, producer, and performer, you also have to be somewhat of an influencer. It amazed me how many people you can reach through these platforms and how much the following grew when I decided to actively engage with the fans. And the best part is when you announce a show and get to see these people live in front of you. So, the decision to build a video studio with a green screen and start creating reels has completely changed the game.

Q: You have just released your new single, ‘Last Chance’. Is there a story behind it?

A: Well, as the name suggests, I see more and more on multiple levels that our planet is heading into increasingly difficult situations. I even reached a point where I deleted all news apps from my phone. This is my outcry: we need to stop the things that are going wrong right now before we all go up in flames.

Q: What is your favorite part or verse from the track, and why?

A: personally like the chorus and the energy and power that this part particularly conveys.

Q: Can you walk us through the creative process of producing the single, “Last Chance”?

A: Well, I want to say this track is heavily influenced by what’s going wrong in the world right now. And as a hardcore Linkin Park fan, I’d say this album, in terms of meaning, will be our Minutes to Midnight.

For starters, there’s a clock out there that shows how close we are to destroying our planet and ourselves completely — and we’re now closer to that point than we were when Linkin Park released Minutes to Midnight in 2007. That honestly scares me.

I’ve had the idea for this song for years, but I never found the right words to describe it. Together with my band, and Sam and Joe Graves from InnerSound Studios in York, we finally managed to bring it to life.

Q: What has been the most memorable concert or performance for the band so far?

A: Technically, M. Nox was performing at The Voice last year in those arenas with my best friend and drummer, Ashley Guest. So, there was that — and of course the shows in the Baltics, especially the one at the Marijampolė football stadium, where thousands of people sang our songs. That moment was truly magical.

Q: Reflecting on your body of work, each song holding its unique significance, could you share a particular track that stands out to you personally? What makes that specific tune special, and why does it hold a place of pride in your musical journey?

A: I wanna say it is a track that has not been released yet, the song is balled follow me, and it describes for the first time the issue of depression that I am facing since I was a little kid, this is the first time I excually went all in on the idea to just tell all of you people out there what i for normally tried to hide.So it will be interesting how this song will reflect on others.

Q: Exploring the diverse creative processes within the music industry is always fascinating. Could you provide insight into your band’s unique approach to crafting music? From the initial spark of an idea to the finished song, how do you navigate the creative journey and bring its musical concepts to life?

A: We’re a band that basically comes from all over the place. After countless voice memo ideas and pre-productions over the years, we decided to meet in one country — and we chose the UK for that. The band flew in from Europe and the US so we could all be in the same house together, finalizing the ideas before heading into the studio to record. We went from the memo stage to the video call stage, to the in-house production stage, and finally to the studio production stage until the recording was complete.

Q: As we wrap up our conversation, looking ahead, what aspirations or dreams do you have for M.Nox, and what message would you like to share with your fans as they continue to accompany you on this musical journey?

A: We turned down many offers from record labels around the world because we simply wouldn’t have been able to do what we’re doing now. We were advised to release the album all at once — which might have been a good idea 20 years ago, but definitely not in 2025.

Besides, we recorded so many music videos for the songs that I couldn’t stand the thought of choosing just one. That’s why we decided to release almost every song as a single.

Each upcoming release has a different theme, and the connection between all these topics reflects how I see the world today. I hope this record helps us reach a lot of new listeners and followers for M. Nox.
