Hello London – Crowns

“Crowns” by Hello London feels like stepping back into the golden age of emo, but with a fresh and modern pulse. James Froese, the mind and voice behind the project, pours emotion into every line creating a song that is nostalgic and full of energy. You can hear his roots in bands like Jimmy Eat World, but what makes this track stand out is how personal and honest it feels.

The guitars hit with that perfect mix of grit and melody, the bassline keeps everything grounded and the drums bring serious energy without ever overshadowing the vocals. James’s voice is as powerful as ever, it’s very strong and soaked in feeling. There’s a sense of hope and reflection in the lyrics, like someone finding his way again after getting lost for a while.

Everything about the production feels right. The mix is clean, the layers fit perfectly and you can tell this song was crafted with care. We honestly love this new single. It’s emotional, energetic and beautifully crafted. Hello London keeps proving why he’s one of our favorite names. His sound always carries heart and passion that makes you want to hit replay right away!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Hello London is the solo project of singer/songwriter James Froese. Based out of Buffalo, NY, Froese has been writing songs for as long as he can remember. Most of the songs he writes could fit under the “indie rock” umbrella, however there are elements of pop punk and alt country that seep into the music. Froese has taken upon himself the task of playing all the instruments for Hello London, and his live shows are personal acoustic performances. In the studio his ideas become full fledged arrangements. He has played in many bands over the years including stints with The Traditional, Farewell Manchester, and Fazeshift. He has shared the stage with bands such as Sincere Engineer, Covey, The Junior Varsity, O’Brother, and Pentimento. In 2021 he released two EP’s titled ‘At the End of the World’ and ‘Stay That Way.’ 2022 saw the follow up to those releases as a full length album titled ‘Past Futures.’ In August of 2024 he released a new album titled ‘The Changing Tide’ to critical acclaim from outlets such as The Big Takeover. Hello London took a slightly different approach on it’s collection of songs as ‘The Shoreline Sessions’, a 9 song acoustic album consisting mostly of renditions of songs from The Changing Tide, dropped May 9, 2025. After a string of acoustic shows around the WNY area, Hello London returns with a new single ‘Crowns’.
