Wonderlick’s new single “Niagara Falls” is one of those songs that grabs you from the very first listen. It has a fresh, upbeat energy that feels both fun and meaningful. The production and mixing are top-notch and you can really hear the creativity in how everything comes together. The instrumentation is rich and layered with each part adding something special to the track.
The lyrics are simple yet catchy, you’ll probably be humming along by the second listen without even realizing it. The vocals stand out too. They’re memorable and full of emotion which matches the passionate sound the band always brings.
“Niagara Falls” also comes with a great music video that pairs perfectly with the song’s vibe. The visuals are great and they even make smart use of AI without making it feel forced. It just adds to the overall charm. This track is part of a bigger project, “Wonderlick Goes to War” which was written during a living room tour last summer. That DIY spirit really shines through. It feels personal and genuine, like the band is just having fun making music they love, and letting us all in on it.
We’ve had this song on repeat. It’s catchy, it’s vibrant, and it puts me in a good mood every time you play it. Wonderlick might not be a household name, but they’ve definitely earned a spot on our summer playlists.
ABOUT THE BAND:

Wonderlick’s two founding members, Jay Blumenfield and Tim Quirk, came together in December 2000 to record free music for a website. The two had previously performed together under different guises (most notably as one half of the smart punk-pop outfit Too Much Joy), but this new project resulted in a concept album that was crafted over the course of a year. Using the Internet, Wonderlick released free individual songs from the project until the album was finished, and included friends such as Spark vocalist Wendy Allen and magician Penn Jillette in the process. The album was ultimately released by Future Farmer Recordings in 2002, followed seven years later by the duo’s second effort, Topless at the Arco Arena. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
