Jakarta-based indie rock band Inamorata is back after almost four years, and they’re making a powerful return with their new single, “Rainbow” which will be released on June 6 of this year. The song feels like a rush of raw emotion, pouring from a place of deep silence and admiration.
From the first note, the song hits hard with loud and passionate drums and soaring guitars that wrap around Ramses Bulsara’s honest vocals. The melody is instantly catchy but it’s the message that stays with you. Inspired by Daniela Villarreal from the Mexican band The Warning, the track is more than just a song, it’s a quiet love letter from afar. Ramses didn’t write it to confess love but to say “thank you” to someone who unknowingly gave him strength.
The lyrics are heartfelt and the chorus is a reminder that light always finds a way through. It’s the kind of song that feels personal, but also universal. You don’t have to know the story behind it to feel its meaning. The band sounds more confident than ever and their chemistry shines through in every note. It’s clear they’ve poured their hearts into this one and we wouldn’t be surprised if “Rainbow” becomes their breakout hit.
I loved it. The emotion is real, the sound is huge and the story behind it makes it even more powerful. Inamorata is definitely a band to watch this year. So while we wait for the song to drop on June 6, you can check out their earlier releases like CeraHari and Bloody Downtown Girl, they’re a great taste of the band’s unique style and energy.
ABOUT THE BAND:

We are the echo in an empty hallway. The scent of rain on burnt film. The last cigarette before dawn.
Inamorata is the sound of four lost souls chasing forgotten dreams through distortion and dusk. Born in Indonesia, raised by vinyl ghosts, and haunted by truths too bitter for daylight — our music fuses 70s heavy metal, blues, jazz, world rhythms, and the raw pulse of 90s rock.
We don’t follow waves. We summon storms. Every verse is a wound. Every chorus, a ritual. We sing for the broken, the haunted, and the ones who still feel too much in a world that feels nothing.
We are not a band. We are a fever dream stitched in feedback and longing. We are the sound when silence gets tired of holding back.
Into the night we come. Out of the night we go.
