Album: Loosejoxx – So Far From Comfort

Loosejoxx’s new album “So Far From Comfort” is a dark, moody and well-crafted journey into emotion and memory. The Pennsylvania-based artist, known for blending genres like hip-hop, chillwave, lofi, and ambient, really leans into his unique sound on this 8-track project. If you’re into music that makes you feel something without spelling it out for you, this one’s for you.

The album kicks off with “Walks Home in the Dark” and right away, you know this isn’t your typical hip-hop beat. The production is clean, layered and full of emotion. The vocal effects and haunting flow pull you in and set the tone for the whole album. There’s something raw and real about it, and the atmosphere grabs your attention fast.

Three instrumental tracks follow: “You Really Shouldn’t Be Driving Right Now”, “Time Has Changed” and “Smile”. These aren’t just filler tracks, they’re deeply immersive. You can feel Loosejoxx’s emotions through the beats alone. Each one has its own vibe, but they all stay true to the album’s moody energy. The mixing and production are polished and show that this artist is serious about his art.

“Lancer FM” brings back the vocals and might just be the standout of the album. The beat is tight, the lyrics hit and Loosejoxx’s voice really shines here. It’s the kind of track that makes you stop and pay attention, not just to the sound, but to the words he’s telling.

Throughout the whole album, you can sense a theme: looking back at a past that felt “comfortable” but wasn’t really good for him. There’s a bittersweet feeling in these songs, like reflecting on hard times with new clarity. The fact that the album was made in a week and later polished shows how naturally this music flows from him and how much emotion he’s willing to put into it.

It feels personal, honest, and different. The dark atmosphere, the smooth transitions, and the mix of vocal and instrumental tracks make it a full experience. Loosejoxx has his own sound and he’s not afraid to get vulnerable. That’s what makes this album special. We’re excited to see where he goes next, because he’s clearly just getting started.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Loosejoxx taught himself how to play guitar at 13. The years that followed were spent involved in multiple bands residing in the Metalcore/Alternative genres and playing shows with a handful of big names in the scene. During this time, he had a great interest in the Indie Electronic genre as well. Artists like Baths, Tycho, Star Slinger, and others, always resonated with him differently. Unable to adapt to the learning curve of music production though, he decided to just stick with guitar. After parting ways with his last band, he was out of the music game for over a year. Searching for a positive outlet, he started recording guitar and drums through a Rock Band microphone. Soon after, it only made sense to try production out again. This time, it started to click and a new love was born. After a year of hard work and dedication, he was able to craft melody and rhythm in the way he’s always wanted to, and also make a name for himself. During his short time involved, he touched the ears of many listeners and proceeds to build solid connections with the people he collaborates and interacts with. While continuing to grow in his craft every day and with many plans for the future by his side, he’s grateful to be doing what he loves.
