Jamie Felton’s new single, “Drowning In The Sand” is a powerful indie song that really sticks with you. Right from the start, the song grabs your attention with a dynamic guitar riff and moves into a catchy chorus that’s hard to forget. The lyrics talk about global warming in a way that feels urgent but still very real and emotional.
The production sounds super clean and Jamie’s voice is amazing, it’s full of warmth and feeling. The middle of the song takes a surprising turn with new harmonies and even features a cool saxophone solo that reminds me a little of Sam Fender. By the end, there’s a strong message that includes some sharp words about Donald Trump’s take on climate change.

Jamie Felton is a professional musician from Bicester, Oxfordshire. Since picking up the guitar in 2006, Jamie’s burning desire to break into the music industry has fuelled considerable success in his career. Having won numerous talent competitions, gained major musical qualifications and played over 1000 gigs, JF graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, in 2017, achieving a first class honours degree in music and songwriting.
Combining unique and unpredictable lyrical concepts with carefully-articulated arrangements, Jamie’s works are of the most eclectic on the market. USP? Variety. His songs cover an extremely vibrant range of genres – rock to rap, latino to funk, country to comedy. The lyrical content also boasts diversity, discussing topics such as climate change, the music industry, Brexit and Guildfordian marriage rejections (fictional one!).
