Inspired by teen life and British 18 year old Jacob Shakespeare’s failed relationships, his debut EP ‘the things you do’ is out NOW!
Born in the Midlands, Jacob was surrounded by music throughout his childhood. He was first inspired to create his own music at the age of 13 when he formed a band with his school friends. This led to him experimenting with lyrics that he wrote at the piano. Since writing his first song at 15, he has written over 150 songs and poems, exploring teenage struggles, romance, friendships, one’s own identity and everything in between. Inspired by songwriting and music geniuses like Taylor Swift, Adele and Lana Del Rey, Jacob aims to capture his emotions in his songs and create music that people of all kinds may understand and relate to.
