Interview With The Cold Front

Q: Can you tell us a bit about the band?

A: We are a three-piece musical conglomerate from Phoenix, Arizona. We’re truly three friends, who make music, play D&D and have big dreams together.

Q: How did your childhoods impact your musical direction?

Frankie – “I started ‘playing’ guitar with a yardstick and one day it turned into a Gibson Les Paul. 🤘🏽😎

Troy – “I grew up in a musical family so, this was inevitable.”

Casey – “I spent my grade-school and high school Friday nights playing Bluegrass music with my family and extended family.”

Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? 

A: Fiverr?

Q: What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “The Cold Front”?

A: Listen to every song; they’re all different. Each one is its own little journey.

Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? 

Frankie – Fish in a Birdcage

Troy – Vincent van Gogh (but when he had 2 ears, fuck one-eared wizards)

Casey – Brandon Sanderson

Where do you find inspiration for making music?

A: Our past lives, loves, and lamentations. 

Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Socks.”?

A: The opening line was a true story from when I was in highschool.  This girl named Kayla Cherry used to check my socks every day to see if they matched.  The rest is more about living life your own way and not giving in to societal norms or demands.  Oh, and D&D.

Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?

A: Surprising

Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Socks”?

A: no

Q: What is the message of your music? 

A: Each song tells a unique story. Listen and find out.

Q: What are your goals as an artist?

A: world domination.  Incredible wealth.  To own at least 2 panda bears.  Complete anonymity.

A: Ton Loc

Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?

Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?

A: Buy a bunch of tech stocks and bitcoin.  Also, eat more fruit.
