Cornelis Gerard – Can’t Sit Still

Cornelis Gerard’s latest single, “Can’t Sit Still” is a breath of fresh air for anyone looking to shake off the everyday monotony. This track is an indie-funk-pop gem that blends an upbeat groove with relatable lyrics about wanting to break free from routine and dive into a world of new possibilities. The funky, disco-inspired sound is infectious and brings you right into Gerard’s world where it’s impossible not to tap along and feel the itch for change.

The song’s instrumental is vibrant and dynamic with a trumpet performance by Brant Tilds that adds a touch of jazz flair. Gerard’s voice is both rich and catchy, matching perfectly with the lively instrumentals and giving the song a unique, warm feel. The production is polished and you can tell every detail was carefully attended to, from the crisp guitar riffs to the punchy basslines. And just when you think you’ve got the groove down, the rhythm shifts in a way that keeps things exciting and unpredictable.

This song feels like the perfect soundtrack for anyone ready to shake things up in their life. The blend of Gerard’s rich vocals, lively instrumentation and Tilds’ trumpet makes this track a true standout. We really enjoyed the fresh sound and the attention to detail in the production, it’s clear a lot of thought went into making this track feel just right. It’s a song that makes you want to dance but also leaves you thinking about where you want to go next in life.
