ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Danielle Schroeder is an ambient folk singer songwriter from Vancouver, BC. Her music grew out of her work as a counsellor supporting people living with cancer and those at end of life.
Being with those facing their own mortality offered her a window into some of the deepest realities of being human, and inspired her to write music as a way to process and express all that she witnessed. Her musical roots are deeply influenced by some of the most iconic and influential female singer-songwriters of the past 50 years. These include Tracy Chapman, Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, Ani DiFranco and India Arie. Whether performing on stage or simply sitting down with guitar and pen, she brings her own vulnerability and authentic self to the creative process.
