ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Rose White is a London based singer songwriter whose playful pop/soul/funk grooves mix with infectious hooks and empowering energy. Wrapping her husky voice, that has drawn comparisons to Duffy, Amy Winehouse and Olivia Dean, around the full range of emotions, Rose wants to speak openly about the topics we all think about, but are afraid to say out loud.
Polish born Rose, arrived in London aged 20 with £300, 2 suitcases and 0 connections. Working her way up the ladder on the open mic circuit, eventually headlining clubs with her band, she released her debut EP ‘One Fourth Mark’ in 2022 to glowing reviews and placements on editorial playlists.
Raised in a musical household filled with Polish punk and international rock, teenage Rose listened a lot to The Doors, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Later musical discoveries included jazz greats like Nina Simone, soul legend Stevie Wonder, as well as strong female voices of the early 2000s such as Christina Aquilera, Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox. Remnants of all these influences, along with traces of RAYE, Jorja Smith and Joy Crookes, can still be found in Rose’s material, making it, as Rose puts it, sound like: “Imagine if Amy Winehouse and Olivia Dean had a baby.”
