Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: I’m SilverCreek I am an artist in the Americana, singer songwriter genres and an independent record label owner of “ SilverCreek Records LLC “ based out of Eastern, Ky At aged 10years old my dad taught me to play the guitar. Since that day I knew this is what I wanted to do. Music helped me get through some of the child hood struggles I endoured.
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “SilverCreek”?
A: I plan on growing my fan base, by radio, promo, magazine features, gig’s. My message to anyone is that if you have a goal or dream keep going with that dream and goal don’t stop.
Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?
A: I love Ben Howard, Molly Tuttle and pheobe Bridgers has been a huge huge inspiration for me.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Sick.”?
A: Sick was written about missing someone and how that one’s body can react to panic and fear of what if something happens. Look at the prospective of a family member or a friend having concerns. I was out of town playing gig’s in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania when this song was written.
Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?
A: my sound is more of a country, folk sound ( americana genre you can say )
Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Sick”?
A: actually I had no challenge’s at all when writing Sick. I was away playing music when Sick was written in which gave me tons of inspiration.
Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?
A: My message is that you can push through anything weather it’s break ups, family issue’s, just keep pushing through. My goals as an artist are to succeed in what I love doing, connecting with ppl in hopes that I can change something or help someone through my music.
Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)
A: Kurt cobain of Nirvana.
Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?
A: That there are struggles and it’s not an easy thing, but if you truly want it keep writing everyday practice makes perfect and don’t stop.
Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?
A: To Stay out of trouble.
