ABOUT Hazel:
I’m Hazel a singer-songwriter based in the UK, navigating the delicate task of capturing your attention in this bio. While I confess, I’m more adept at crafting lyrics than bios, let’s give this a shot. My roots trace back to Switzerland, raised by a loving Danish mother and a wonderful Turkish father. My early love for singing sparked with Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’ CD, and my musical landscape was shaped by my parents’ affection for the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Though my family isn’t comprised of musicians per se, we’re a clan of music enthusiasts, and I’ve been singing for as long as memory serves.
I dropped my debut single, “Scream,” in September 2022 and birthed my EP, “10,000ft,” in June 2023. This year has been a wild ride, fuelled by my passion for music and the incredible people alongside me.
Music is my nocturnal muse, my sunrise serenade, my travel companion—it’s my entire life. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Fleetwood Mac, Dua Lipa, Hozier, and a myriad of others, my music is also a product of the people around me—friends and family alike.
This is a new chapter, akin to those Marvel movies where we enter phase two. There’s a new narrative, a fresh villain, and everyone’s teaming up to conquer this colossal challenge. In simpler terms, I’m about to drop a new EP, “Soft Whispers in a Crowded Room,” hoping it captivates you, be your nocturnal muse, your sunrise serenade, and your travel companion.
I’ve poured my heart and soul into this EP, and each track feels like my little creation, my babies. Here’s hoping you love them as much as I do.
